Thank You, March

March, you were bustling and oh so busy... As well as a lovely trip to Castle Ashby, I also met up with some old friends and visited one of my best gal pals in Italy too.

Let's dive into this month, shall we?

My main lesson of this month was to schedule some dang time off! Being self-employed has been amazing, but I've not yet got my head around taking time off and making sure I don't burn out... Life lesson learned.

Spring's arrival, and some holiday, has definitely renewed my energy levels and I am really looking forward to the next few months! I'm planning on pivoting my business direction for the first time and will be sure to fill you in on that properly soon (if you want a sneak peek, there are some new pages to snoop at in my header...)

I also loved meeting up with and chatting with lots of my faves this month, including David and Hayley, Rebecca and some of my best pals from home. Though I think I'll always lean on the introverted side of life, I have really enjoyed coming out my shell and seeing more of my buds after an extremely hardworking winter!

I've also finally got round to setting up my newsletter! I create them for clients all the time, but have never yet sent out my own. It'll be a fortnightly/monthly deal, with content that you won't find on the blog... If you'd like to join my mailing list, do please sign up below!

My queen Charlotte launched a Kickstarter to make His Dark Materials themed pins and I'm in love.

The Handmaid's Tale is one of my all time favourite novels, and I cannot wait for them to release this.

Guilaine Kinouani's nuanced discussions on race are excellent; she was on that Newsnight episode that I refuse to watch and her tweets are just what we need right now.

I've lost count of how many times I've watched this.

I'm lowkey in love with Laila from Tape Parade and her post on freelancing was excellent (but tbf, her entire archive is chocca with brilliantly original and insightful posts you need to read).

I nodded the whole way through this post by Rebecca of From Roses.

This episode of CYG was another total gem...

This article on disagreeing effectively was a real eye-opener; I can see myself re-reading it on a very regular basis.

Lastly, my lovely bud Nicola is starting a café in my hometown and fellow Northamptonians, let's make it happen... Nicola is an amazing chef and wonderful lady, and I am so excited to see her achieve her dream!

I believe in the resistance as I believe there can be no light without shadow; or rather, no shadow unless there is also light.
